Avenue B from Iggy

Sketch by: Tabitha

I bought a book called, "Rock n' Roll People"(The pioneers of pop in their own words). Legendary artists such as Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Eric Clapton, Sex Pistols, Blondie, Bob Marley, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello and Nirvana are in the big black and white book.

I especially enjoyed Iggy Pop's story, proving to be a role model for many punk bands and forming a great friendship with David Bowie.

I liked this part about him:

"Dealing with life, death and the frailty of human relationships, Iggy proved that he'd emerged from all the madness wiser and saner than anyone could have imagined. "

Most artists waste their lives away, proving everyone right about them that they can't handle the fame well and have totally lost their lives to drugs, and hanging out with the wrong people.
I think it's highly important for artists to inspire people not only through their music but also through their lives.
