Too Hot to Handle

Waking up sweating isn't really the best way to start your day. It automatically makes you frown. I love the tropical weather but it's just been way too hot recently. I had to sleepover at my cousin's just for the airconditioning (my cousin just lives across my room).

This just makes me want to go back to the beach. This made me miss my four days of just camping out, waking up early to surf, eating a little then getting back in the water till the sun goes down. One of my dreams include purchasing a house near the beach and maybe put up a little pizza place or coffee place there and possibly just living there. I like it simple.

Of course aside from just wanting to get in the water, I've been itching to practice. The biggest wave I've ridden was around 4ft, and a whole lot of wipeouts after that, but that's how it's supposed to be. It really is a skill, surfing. If you don't practice, you'll never get better. Another thing preventing me from doing so is my inability to find work. Okay I just made myself sound like such a bum. Point is, I'll be able to hit the beach again when I get a job, so that I'll have money for gas. For now, I'll just have to do with videos of Andy Irons and Kelly Slater's sessions.

P.S. On a completely unrelated note, 5 down and one more interview to go for this marketing position at a television network. Wish me luck!

  1. Hey- found you on 20something bloggers. Nice pic! I recently went surfing for the first time and loved it! I'm jealous- I wished I lived where I could go all the time...
I'd love to see some pics of the jewelry you make too! I make jewelry and glass beads myself!

  2. Hey Valerie! I know what you mean, I have to travel for 3 hours to hit the beach. I've actually seen your work! They're pretty amazing!
