Lookout Weekend

It's 9am and it looks like it's already 6pm outside because of the rain. It's crazy, really. School's been canceled which makes it easier to go to work. It took me 10 minutes instead of the usual 20. Honestly, I don't what's going to happen at work today, I've finished all my reports for Paris and all the ad placements for the magazines have been reserved. Such a diligent worker!

I don't have work tomorrow (Saturday)!! This picture pretty much sums up what I'm feeling:

Tonight, I'll be meeting a friend from Florida who's on vacation. I haven't seen him in 5 years. 5 YEARS! We have a lot of catching up to do. We'll probably just have dinner and coffee tonight, and maybe those awkward quiet moments when the two of you coincidentally go blank at the same time, leaving you both nodding and smiling, squeezing the words, "That's really great..", eventually noticing the situation and just brushing it off with a laugh. I'm sure that has happened to you too!

We used to have almost the same height when we were in 6th grade, then for some reason I only grew 3-4 inches and he started getting taller and taller. Leaving me at 5' ft (FINE! 4'11) and him at 6'2! HEY, I'm a proud petite lady! I'm just sure I'll be getting a lot of jokes about it tonight from him.

If I could upload an audio file here (in this terribly slow computer), I'd be playing:

  2. Haha! Totally true! I've grown to love my height. It's all about accepting everything about yourself. Flaws and all.
